Which class is right for me?You must enter a class that is suitable to your skill level. If you're new to WHES, please note that your ability to compete in a specific class must be verified by an existing WHES member. The following is a guide to help you choose the right class. Gold: Exceptional technical riding skills are required to navigate challenging terrains, including steep inclines, rocky sections, tree roots, mud, and obstacles like large logs, switchbacks, creek beds, and slippery rocks. Riders must maintain balance and control, mastering slow-speed manoeuvres, tight turns, and precision in negotiating these obstacles. The course lasts for over four hours, demanding stamina and skill to tackle the varied conditions. Silver: Fundamental technical riding skills are required to handle off-road terrain, navigate obstacles, and tackle moderate inclines and descents. The course includes medium to large logs, ledges, tight turns, large tires, pipes, creek beds, and slippery rocks, with a duration of over 3.5 hours. Bronze / +45 / Women / Junior: Basic technical riding skills are essential for handling off-road terrain, navigating obstacles, and tackling moderate inclines and descents. Riders must develop skills in low-speed manoeuvres, negotiating turns, and controlling the bike in simple off-road conditions. The course includes moderate logs, rocky outcrops, slippery rocks, truck tires, pipes, and creek beds, with a duration of over 3 hours. Still not sure? Get in touch with the team - gday@whes.au and we can help you out.

Am I insured when I ride at a WHES event? No, riders are responsible for arranging their own insurance. While the choice of insurance is ultimately up to the rider, we also advise considering income protection insurance, that includes motorcycle racing, for added peace of mind.
-
Is a WHES event spectator friendly?Yes, WHES events are particularly spectator-friendly, with free entry for all. Spectators are the heart of what makes this sport so exciting, and we warmly welcome everyone. Thanks to the slower-paced nature of the discipline, WHES has grown into a family-friendly experience that everyone can enjoy. However, we remind spectators that the racing they are watching is a high-risk recreational activity. For everyone’s safety, spectators must stay off the track and supervise their children at all times. By attending our events, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with spectating. It is required that you read and sign our waiver. You must read and sign our spectator waiver, located under each event's details, before attending an event.

What is Hard Enduro?Hard enduro is a form of off-road motorcycle racing that tests riders' endurance, technical skills, and mental toughness. The courses are designed to be incredibly challenging, featuring rough terrain, steep climbs, rocky sections, dense forests, water crossings, and other natural or man-made obstacles. Unlike traditional motocross or enduro races, hard enduro focuses on slow, technical riding over grueling terrain rather than high-speed racing. Events like the Red Bull Romaniacs, Erzbergrodeo, and Sea to Sky are some of the most famous hard enduro races. It attracts riders of all skill levels, from amateurs to professional athletes, and often emphasizes camaraderie and perseverance, as many riders work together to overcome difficult sections of the course. If you are ready for a serious challenge, hone your riding skills and come join us!
